Open Doom : The worlds first Infinitely Sized Open World RPG Mod, and it's for doom 2!

 Over the last month, I've been working on a project that uses the code for my procedurally generated doom 2 mod that was called blockmap, and turns that into an infinetly sized Open World Doom themed Rpg, as a Doom 2 mod....

The Mod, called Open Doom, has a special version called Open Doom : hardcore edition and it's available on my itch page here, for downloading.

The mod starts you in a room with a lot of color coded switches. Eye switches allow you to choose a perk or roll your stats, so you flip both of those first.... Flip the right one to roll your stats and flip the left one multiple times to choose your perk till you find one you like... Then flip the right most switch on the opposite wall to build a map.... Now exit the map in the nearby exit.

Now your in the open world.... Press the left most glowing lion switch on the left wall to select a stat to upgrade. Flip the switch to the right of it to upgrade that stat, at the expense of your skill points.  You earn skill points by beating maps or doing quests. Make sure you put points into Survival (lessens disease damage), Capacity (allows you to carry more ammo), and damage resistance!

Now build the outdoor area and RUN to the nearby red teleport. That will put you in a dungeon to explore.... Clear it out and return to the outdoor area when done.... If you find a marine talk to him to do a quest and return and talk to any marine in the military base (gotten by going through a white teleport in the open world area) to complete it. They can also give you quests....


Be careful... Diseases can hit you as you clear more and more levels. The more levels you clear the more likely you'll catch a disease. If you do hit the key you bind to recall spell several times till you are on top of a teleport and use that to leave the map and cure your disease with the right most switch on the back wall...

This mod uses randomized quests that have random objective. It is compatible with many enemy and weapon replacement mods but isn't compatible with ones that have player upgrades, so don't play this with HXRTC or DRLA.  And No, It ISN'T compatible with fucking brutal doom. I hate brutal doom and never will make it compatible, PERIOD!

BLOCKMAP! New Procedurally level generation mod for Doom 2 made by me.

Welcome to Blockmap, my latest project... This project is a zdoom Doom 2 procedural generation mod that attempts to make a map in real time in the game using ACS scripting to change the floor and ceiling height of several block shaped sectors to form a real time level... On top of that It adds in enemies and items into the map..

Certain sectors, all chosen randomly close like Doors to form Walls. Other sectors, all chosen randomly lower to form nukage pits, or have their ceilings lowered from the default 128 unit height to make 64 unit tall sectors.  On map start the map is retextured into one of 16 different texture themes, not limited to tech, but also hell and urban... 

The maps have detailed architecture not limited to support pillars, ceiling lights, sloped borders, and have multiple nasty traps, not limited to procedural monster closets, pop up traps and teleport ambushes done in ACS.

The whole thing is configurable through switches in the first room that choose room size (determines how much blocks to close like doors, small gets more, big gets less), level theme and enemy difficulty. Difficulties use a very complex algorithm to make it so certain enemies get spawned in certain places using acs scripting and the enemies used and where they spawn depend on your difficulty preset, or what I call a "difficulty config".  There are difficulties for Easy Maps, Medium maps like plutonia, Hard Maps like hell Revealed map11, very hard like hell revealed map23, "ouch" (ultra hard) for maps like Sunlust and 2 Slaughterwad presets, one beatable and one flat out impossible!

Each preset gives you certain starting equipment to help you including better weapons for higher difficulty configs.

The game has been tested and only has some minor bugs like one missing texture now.. It shows up rarely...  Coop gameplay is possible, all 8 starts are in it.


This mod has a lot in common with Oblige. They both produce procedural generated levels, but the differences are huge. Oblige uses several algorithms to make architecture from ascii drawings, square shaped sector setups, prefabs pasted in and similar. Blockmap does it by altering pre-defined sectors in real time. But they both allow for size control, theme control, and enemy difficulty control. But for actual hard combat, Blockmap is far better than Oblige... 

Oblige limits enemy count, and enemies can't be used in huge hordes of they are hard enemies unless you set it up right and use obaddon/obsidian and know exactly how to set it up. It's a bitch... Blockmap by default can put in Hell Revealed like hordes and uses ACS Scripting to Set up Hordes of Teleporting Enemies when you pick up guns minus the start ones.. The difficulty config determines what gets spawned.. It can get nuts on higher difficulty configs, with huge hordes of Revenants, Hell Knights, Barons, Or even Archviles spawning to defend guns in huge hordes throughout the map. On Slaughtermp modes, Only Archviles or Cyberdemons Show up. 

Due to the way Blockmap works. very little balancing is put in enemy spawning. Oblige balances maps like crazy. Blockmap does not.That makes blockmap superior for ultra hard combat.  It was designed to NOT use Balancing as much to guarantee hard fights...  Only distance from player starts determines what enemy difficulty type to spawn, and only on lower difficulty configs. On very hard or later this is thrown out the window to make it ultra hard.

Onslaught : Extreme Combat Reborn Final Version Trailer released...

 This is the trailer for the final version of Onslaught : Extreme combat reborn...  It was made today and is very very obnoxiously over the top in it's cockiness... I did that because I felt like it and it wasn't doing good so maybe it needed it.




This trailer tells the truth when it says Ons is the most offensive macho shooter ever. The shit onslaught has in it blows even Ion Fury out of the water in that department (Insane Gore that kills even Brutal Doom, Extremely offensive one liners, Shit Weapons, and worse). Macho Shooters are the kind of shooters Duke3d, Blood, Shadow Warrior, Serious Sam, and Ion Fury are, and this one is the most underrated Macho Shooter by miles... Even the free AMC squad macho shooter is more popular than it. It's a shame because this thing is really challenging but once you get the hang of it it's just nuts in terms of offensive shit thrown at the player not limited to:

Insanely offensive one liners  that at the very least equal shadow warrior level, but probably are way worse...

Onslaught : Extreme Combat Reborn re-released on Gamejolt

 I re-uploaded Onslaught : Extreme Combat Reborn, my Metal themed FPS game on Gamejolt last night.... Today I posted 5 video playthroughs of my favorite 5 levels there... Tonight I posted a trailer of it...


This is The Special Edition 2.0 of Onslaught...

Asshole Communities for Video Games normalize Internet Trolling and something HAS to be done about it.

So I post my newest Doom Mod, Randoom to gamejolt. Big mistake. People liked it at first, and then some asshole from the Doom Community trolled it for "simplistic level design", "lack of room prefabs", "too easy gameplay" and "incompatibility with my CLI, Waaaahh!", and demaned I CHANGE it to make it work with his fucked up troll laden excuse for what a Doom mod should be like... Without Saying anything good about it period.

Randoom was a random level assembler mod, an alternative to Oblige which I no longer use due to this...  It was based on a random room assembler mod that was FREE TO USE, and added in randomized enemy placement, randomzed texture themes and item/weapon placement... It was mostly bearable and had some bugs but they were ironed out later so I don't know of those bugs got it trolled by idiots in the Doom Community. It never made "simplistic" level design, it made NORMAL level design, not uverrated 50 sectors per room level design like tormenter 667,  as ultra detailed maps should not be called Normal now and normal maps should not be called "shitty low detail maps" or "simplistic shit" maps.  It made hard, almost unbalanced maps at times, it never made maps that were "too easy", it was not even like that unless you got lucky. And fuck his CLI! I don't have to fix something I have no clue how to that is stupid. Expecting me to cave in like the brainwashed idiots who get trolled by doom fans to 'fix' their 'unbalanced' or 'crappy' mods to fit their paradigm of what a 'good' maps should be is retarded when, Frankly, I don't fucking have to! This trolling I just mentioned here by doom fans, is on all doom sites now and it's creating a generation of fucking assholes who troll to 'correct' 'problems' in mods that' don't exist.  For that reason I don't do doom modding anymore, why even bother If no site I post it to will prevent such trolls from following suit as the other idiots due on doom sites to troll people to make them do 'better' mods?


After this got trolled (and lots of other projects of mine got trolled before it), I decided to leave the doom community forever and move to Modding Duke3d. I made a random level generator for Duke3d, based on a program that assmbles rooms, made new prefabs based on existing duke3d maps but altered, and made this assemble randomly generated maps if you followed the instructions provided..  The original author of the original program as credited, I didn't rip him off... 3 days later some idiot adds it to a collection labeled to list things that sucked on Itch. Some fucking idiot probably from the Doom and/or Duke3d Community, expecting it to make totally original maps or expecting it to make maps that fit his fucked up paradigm of what a map should be like. And like the Doom Community, he trolled me for making such a "shitty" project. It didn't help that I had reviews and ratings turned off, this shitty trolling done on Collection names still is allowed on Itch and it needs to stop.

But that isn't enough. If the fucking idiots who run the Doom and Duke3d Communities don't stop turning a blind eye to such asshole trolls as this guy, the guy who trolled my random level assembler mod For Doom, people who trolled my mapsets and worse (making fun of my weight and adding in taunts saying I'd never get a girlfriend, disliking all my videos, disliking all my music,  hacking my mp3 player to prevent my music from being copied to it and worse), there will be fucking problems for them. Someone has to punish these fucking asshole communities... I can't do it alone. Someone must make them stop doing shit like this. Itch has to step in and prevent collection names to be such outlandish troll names like "shitty games/mods/etc". Gamejolt has to prevent troll comments from showing up 100%, and youtube needs to fight stupid idiots from spamming dislikes on videos for stupid reasons like the map sucks or the person is an ass, or whatnot... It has gone too far and SOMEONE has to police these idiots...

My Free Metal Themed FPS Game Onslaught had it's latest Release, the Kickass Edition, uploaded to Itch.io

 Onslaught : Extreme Combat Reborn is an ancient FPS game idea based FPS game. Initially conceived in 1995 by Me and Hitman213, it was a crazy ambitious FPS game idea with deformable terrain, 3d textures, city sized levels, driveable vehicles, over 150 guns with 3 fires each (!), over 100 enemy types (!) and a lot of nasty humor.

You play as Bastard, Cyborg Mercenary for Hire, who happens to be a metalhead.  You go around shooting, gibbing, and destroying a mad cult that is trying to exterminate humanity with bombing/nuking cities, and mutation attacks. These mutations destroyed what is left of the US army and only you can stop them. Too bad your a total asshole!

Being a metal themed FPS, this game actually had a lot of cool ideas... It was scrapped in 2002 but the game itself eventually was made, and remade, and remade several dozen times with realm667 enemies and weapons, randomly generated maps and totally new music and many times redone over voiceovers for bastard. Not until 2019 did a good version get made, that was considered a beta and all previous versions were cosidered Alphas.  

Currently Onslaught was posted to Itch on it's first real releasable version done in 2021 initially.   It was re-released and fixed up in newer editions such as the "Special Edition", "SMD edition" and the "kickass edition. Now that the kickass edition is out, it's considered done, it's the final build of onslaught and has a lot of new features over the special edition, including:


-Weapon Upgrades powered by Gun Bonsai Mod
-Enemy Multiplier powered by Universal Multiplier mod
-Totally Redone One Liners and Voiceovers for Bastard.
-Mp3 music from two metal solo projects of mine as default music now.
-Hillarious Parody Advertisements played between tracks sometimes...

Attention people... It has come to my attention that my itch profile is down due to stupidity on itches part.... Maybe they got hscked.... But my gamejolt is still up thank god, so I am posting this blog post to there... Since my Itch is down, I am fearing they are taking it down to delete my content... The last time itch went down that happened... I have a lot of stuff on itch.... A set of 3 doom wads, a prefab pack, and a tweaked obsidian map generator that makes slaughtermaps called DSK... It comes with a scripting program to retexture maps and a mod to play slaughtermaps with... Since all three are down I am attempting to at least temporarily host them here on my pcloud, so if anyone wants to download these and can't here's the links:
